4:20pm – Big Howard Little Howard: Man and Boy

Big Howard Little Howard, the world’s first and only Human/Cartoon Double-Act are back. But this time Big Howard is a proper grown-up – he’s got a suit, a wife, a moustache and a message for the world: “Hey World! Stop being a prick!”  Unfortunately he’s also got a six-year-old cartoon-boy in tow so his new, edgy message is tempered slightly by having to mouth all the swearwords like an old lady.

Little Howard (who is celebrating his fifteenth 6th birthday) also has big plans. He’s written some brilliant songs, The Best Sketch in The World, and is determined to close the show on his fart-psychic routine.  If only Big Howard would agree to being from Bangladesh.

Man & Boy is a battle between two shows and several sides of one man’s personality.  It’s the most entertaining mid-life crisis you’ll watch at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.

Join Big Howard and Little Howard for songs, animation, a filthy pigeon and possibly the most thoroughly ridiculous ear worm ever composed. You might even have your future predicted by Little Howard himself!

Big Howard Little Howard’s adult shows first hit the Fringe in 2002 to rave reviews, and was the only British nominee for the Perrier Award in 2003. A toe dipped in the world of family comedy whisked them away to three series of Little Howard’s Big Question on CBBC, and writing jobs on the Emmy award-winning Horrible Histories and Danger Mouse amongst many others.  In the meantime, they honed their performance skills on three successful touring family shows and appearances on The Royal Variety Performance and This Morning.  Now they’re back and Big Howard can say c*** in public for the first time in 12 years (as long as Little Howard isn’t on stage).

You won’t find another act on the Fringe who can do live interactive, animated comedy as well as this unique double act (but if you do please tell us where they are because we’re lonely.)

Incredibly, achingly funny.The Daily Mail.
